Let me start by saying that I believe that there should be an indictment and a trial when any citizen is murdered. Families deserve to hear all of the facts, and so does the community. These recent events bring various unpopular conversations to the discussion board, yet I feel that they that need to be addressed. I share this -- my thoughts -- for the well being and progression of our children and our communities.
Respect breeds respect. Having disrespectful interactions with police officers is not a good idea at any time. They need to respect you and you need to respect them, bottom line. Two parties acting disrespectfully to one another is guaranteed mayhem. This is accompanied with OBEYING THE LAW at all times. They are laws for a reason. Obey them. Not a good idea to break them.
The path has been paved for all of us. The only people that think today is like the 1950's are the people who weren't here in the 1950's. You can become anything you want to be uninhibitedly; President, Supreme Court Justice, Congressman, Lawyer, Police Officer etc, etc. These opportunities did not exist for all of us in the 50's. The only one stopping you from success is yourself. Stop making excuses and start building your legacy. Not all is fair but opportunities exist still. Pave your own paths. Never settle, always strive to be better. Rewards come from creative risk taking. Leap!
3 POVERTY MEETS EDUCATION
The remedy to poverty has been, and always will be, education in thriving fields of practice. Key word, THRIVING. Don't get a PhD in basket weaving and wonder why you cannot find a job. This country grants funds to low income individuals to help with tuition, from kindergarten to Doctorate. This really is the land of opportunity.
